    Standard Bank Forecasts Improved Earnings

Standard Bank Group said Wednesday it expects its earnings per share (EPS) and headline EPS in its full-year 2022 financial scorecard to be higher than the prior year.

The South African lender’s headline EPS is estimated to be in the range of 20.449 rands to 21.236 rands, while EPS is likely to be between 20.634 rands and 21.416 rands for the year.

In 2021, the group’s headline EPS and EPS came in at 15.73 rands and 15.632 rands, respectively. The bank is scheduled to release its full-year results on March 9.

Shares in Standard Bank rose above 1% on Tuesday’s trading close. Recently, Standard Bank of South Africa issued 20.3 million rands of equity index-linked notes due Feb. 10, 2028.

The notes were issued under the lender’s 120 billion-rand note program at a price of 1,000 rands apiece, according to a Friday filing. # Standard Bank Forecasts Improved Earnings
