We’ve not Shut Down, Committed to Paying Claims – African Alliance

African Alliance Insurance Plc, on Friday says it is still very much operational and committed to paying all genuine claims.

Mr Wasiu Amao, Executive Director, Technical of the insurance company, said this in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos to provide clarity on the situation at the organisation and rumours making round.

Amao said: “It is important to clarify that African Alliance has not shut down.

“Due to the nationwide protests that began on Aug.1, we temporarily transitioned to remote work to ensure the safety of our staff and clients.

“However, critical staff were on ground all through the protest period and full onsite operations resumed on Aug.8.

“We regret any inconvenience this temporary measure may have caused and appreciate the understanding of our stakeholders during this period.

According to him, the insurance company is built to stand the test of time.

Amao said the underwriter was actively working on the turnaround plans requested by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and committed to fulfilling its obligations to all stakeholders.

The director revealed that African Alliance had commenced payment for annuity, which is being processed diligently to ensure that they were completed as soon as possible.

“We have engaged our customers on multiple channels intimating them on the payment progress.

“All pending claims will also be honoured in due course, as we are fully committed to resolving these matters”.

“Our management team remains intact, and our website is fully operational as part of our ongoing commitment to serving our clients.

“We are here to stay, and will continue to strive to provide excellent service and a great customer experience,”he said.

Amao thanked the insurer’s policyholders for their continued trust and support.

He promised that African Alliance will continue to work tirelessly to satisfy its customers and uphold the standards of professionalism and good conduct expected in the industry. #We’ve not Shut Down, Committed to Paying Claims – African Alliance
