    Bitcoin Trades at $43,000; Dogecoin Tops Gainers List

    Bitcoin is currently holding at $43,000 as the largest crypto asset seeks to break resistance while Dogecoin, Litecoin are among the top gainers, trail by a handful of other crypto assets.

    Most of the top 20 cryptocurrencies rose during late trading on Friday, with the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) seeing the biggest move, surging as much as 16%.

    Bitcoin (BTC-USD), the largest cryptocurrency by market value, swung between a day high of $43,388 and a day low of $41,800 and was recently trading at $43,200, up 1.1% late Friday.

    The trading volume of the oldest cryptocurrency was nearly $25 billion, down 50% in the 24 hours trading as the market cap rebounds moderately, according to data from Coinmarketcap.com.

    After gaining about 3%, cryptocurrencies market capitalisation inched to $2.06 trillion. Market valuation of all crypto assets had plunged below the $2 trillion mark early in the year.

    Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest cryptocurrency, advanced 1.3% to $3,311. XRP (XRP-USD) and Solana (SOL-USD), the 4th and 5th cryptocurrencies, advanced less than 1% each.

    Litecoin (LTC-USD) and Ethereum-Classic (ETC-USD), the 15h and 19th cryptocurrencies, were among the day’s top gainers with increases of more than 7% and 6% respectively. Stellar (XLM-USD), the no. 9 cryptocurrency by market value, fell less than 1%.
