Bitcoin Rises as Strategy Inc., Strive Expand Treasury Accumulation

Bitcoin (BTC) staged a rebound, rising near $80k on Monday as Strategy Inc. and Strive Asset Management boosted optimism among risk-asset investors.

Hovering at $77.91k on Monday, BTC trading volume surged about 37% in 24 hours, with transaction value totalling $16.75 billion, as it struggled to retake the $80k mark.

Today, U.S. Bitcoin ETFs saw net outflows of 7,919 $BTC ($614 million) and 2,292 $BTC ($178 million) over the past 7 days. Ethereum ETFs saw net outflows of 44.8 thousand $ETH ($102 million) and 147.6 thousand $ETH ($336 million) over the past 7 days.

In its latest SEC filing, Strategy Inc. purchased 811 BTC, bringing its total holdings to 849,327 $BTC as of November 1.

Also, A 6,182 BTC buy for $511.4 million is a large, institution-sized ticket that would typically reflect primary creations in a spot Bitcoin ETF rather than a discretionary trade.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs collectively hold about 1.28 million BTC, or 6.36% of circulating supply, as of Oct. 31, 2026, meaning Strive’s 6,182 BTC is roughly 0.5% of that pool.

That puts the move in the “meaningful but not dominant” range: significant for Strive’s own fund, modest versus the total ETF ecosystem.

Traders said this buy alone won’t redefine Bitcoin’s supply picture, but it does signal that regulated BTC products are still seeing sizable institutional checks.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs now hold about 1.28 million BTC, backed by roughly $100 billion in net assets, making them one of the market’s largest identifiable holder groups.

Total Bitcoin ETF assets are around $102–103 billion, with BTC dominance near 60% of total crypto value. Strive’s allocation fits that broader pattern: institutions hold and warehouse BTC in regulated vehicles rather than on native exchanges.

From a market-structure perspective, this concentrates more supply in long-horizon, rules-bound entities. That can dampen day-to-day trading float, but flows (creations and redemptions) into these vehicles become a primary driver to watch.

If ETF assets stabilise or grow while prices chop, it suggests “buy and hold” institutional demand is quietly absorbing volatility; if ETF assets shrink, that demand is doing the opposite.

A practical risk note is that ETF-driven demand can flip if macro conditions or risk sentiment shift, turning creations into redemptions and adding sell pressure rather than support.

Strive’s 6,182 BTC purchase is best seen as another brick in a larger wall of institutional Bitcoin accumulation rather than a standalone market mover.

For crypto users, the real story is whether ETF complexes, including Strive, keep adding coins over time. If they do, Bitcoin’s supply will increasingly sit in regulated, long-horizon hands, making ETF flows and AUM one of the most important signals to track alongside price and volatility.
