Zcash Price Jumps 13% as Ironwood Upgrade Boosts Sentiment

Zcash (ZEC) price jumped by 13.05% to $506.62 on Tuesday, dramatically outperforming a nearly flat Bitcoin, driven primarily by a major network upgrade announcement that restored confidence in its core privacy feature.

ZEC trading volume increased by 14% as investors reacted positively to the announcement of the Ironwood upgrade, a formally verified replacement for Zcash’s shielded pool to prevent undetectable counterfeiting bugs.

Zcash is deploying its Ironwood upgrade this month. This critical update replaces the Orchard shielded pool with a formally verified version, mathematically proven to prevent undetectable counterfeiting bugs.

This directly addresses a fundamental concern about supply integrity, boosting investor confidence in the privacy coin’s value proposition.

The move is a direct reaction to a core protocol improvement, not speculative hype. It signals renewed institutional and community belief in Zcash’s long-term viability.

Price action shows ZEC broke out of a multi-week compression pattern and a 56-day descending resistance line, rallying to test the $485–$500 range.

This breakout was fueled by a 32.19% jump in 24h volume to $549.4 million, indicating strong buyer conviction. Social sentiment is highly bullish, with Zcash’s AltRank™ jumping to the 6th strongest coin.

The fundamental news triggered a technical breakout, which then attracted momentum traders, creating a powerful feedback loop. The immediate driver is the Ironwood upgrade narrative, with the key technical event being

The trend is strongly bullish but overbought. The path of least resistance is higher if buying pressure continues, but the risk of a profit-taking flush has increased.

A daily close above $510 could extend the rally toward $520. Conversely, a failure to hold $495 and a break below the $440 support would invalidate the short-term bullish structure.

Zcash’s price surge is a textbook case of a fundamental catalyst (Ironwood) validating a technical breakout, drawing in significant volume and social hype.XRP Price Jumps as Ripple Secures Full EU MiCA License
