XRP Price Soars 6.5% on Dovish U.S. Fed Signal

Ripple (XRP) price soared by 6.5% over the last 24 hours to $1.4517, outperforming a broader market rally and primarily driven by a macro-driven risk-on shift across crypto.

The strong rally builds on a dovish signal from the Federal Reserve that eased rate-hike fears, lifting the entire crypto market.

Reflecting investors’ optimism, the total net inflow of $XRP spot ETFs reached $6.1376 million in a single day. The total net asset value of $XRP spot ETFs is $1.552 billion, with an $XRP net asset ratio of 1.68%, and the cumulative historical net inflow has reached $1.682 billion.

XRP benefited from a shift in sentiment in the cryptocurrency market. Trading volume surged by 69% on the say to $4.6 billion, led by institutional accumulators.

Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller indicated on September 3 that cooling inflation could lead him to support holding interest rates steady at the upcoming meeting.

This dovish comment caused market-implied odds of a September rate hike to drop sharply, triggering a risk-on move across assets. Bitcoin rose 4.33%, and the total crypto market cap gained 3.91%, with XRP riding this wave of renewed optimism.

XRP’s move was largely a beta play, showing high sensitivity to shifts in macro liquidity expectations rather than a coin-specific event.

Traders anticipate the market to stay on trend ahead of the August Consumer Price Index (CPI) report on September 11, which will heavily influence the Fed’s final decision on September 15–16.

The rally had contributory factors. First, a sector-wide rotation into altcoins was evident, with tokens like Zigchain (ZIG) and Zcash (ZEC) posting gains over 18%.

Second, XRP broke above its key 30-day average of $1.42 and 200-day average of $1.39, a bullish technical signal.

This breakout was confirmed by a 72% spike in 24-hour trading volume to $4.63 billion, indicating strong buying conviction.

Traders said the token’s positive price movement was amplified by technical momentum and a risk-on appetite spreading beyond Bitcoin into the broader altcoin market.

The immediate path hinges on the $1.41 support and the upcoming CPI data. If XRP holds above $1.41 and the CPI print is benign, the next target is the recent swing high at $1.48.

A break above that could open a path toward $1.52. The risk case is a hotter-than-expected CPI report, which could revive hawkish Fed expectations and trigger a market-wide pullback. In that scenario, a break below $1.41 could see a retest of the swing low at $1.34.

The outlook is cautiously bullish but entirely conditional on macro data, with clear levels to gauge direction. The $1.48 resistance level: a rejection here could signal near-term exhaustion.

XRP’s gain is part of a Fed-fueled market rally, amplified by technical strength. However, the trend lacks a unique catalyst and remains tethered to broader macro sentiment.
