XRP Price Slides on Capital Rotation, 7-Day Gain Moderates

Ripple (XRP) price declined 1.05% to $1.53, underperforming a slightly positive broader market, primarily due to a lack of buying momentum as capital rotated toward Bitcoin and other institutional Favourites.

The downward price reduced the token’s weekly gain to 11%, according to trading data from a cryptocurrency exchange. XRP’s transaction value dipped below $2.7 billion in the last 24 hours as trading volume fell by 42% amid weak sentiment.

While Bitcoin spot ETFs extended a seven-day inflow streak, drawing over $2.4 billion last week, XRP’s positive ETF inflows, totalling $22.65 million, were insufficient to offset broader selling pressure.

This indicates capital rotation, with institutional preference remaining with market leaders, leaving XRP behind.

XRP’s price action is currently more sensitive to its own liquidity and sentiment than to positive ETF-flow news, highlighting a disconnect between product inflows and the immediate impact on the spot price.

Traders are watching sustained daily ETF inflow data for XRP relative to Bitcoin to gauge whether institutional interest is rebalancing.

XRP faced a clear rejection after testing the $1.60 resistance area, a level where significant previous volume (around 2.5 billion XRP) had traded, acting as a supply zone.

The 24-hour trading volume plummeted 43.6% to $2.64 billion, signalling a lack of conviction from buyers to push the price higher.

According to crypto analysts, XRP’s price decline was not driven by a panic sell-off but by a failure to attract sufficient buy-side interest to overcome overhead selling pressure.

A decisive break above $1.60 on high volume would invalidate the bearish near-term structure.

The immediate catalyst is Ripple’s scheduled escrow release of 1 billion XRP on October 1, which could introduce potential selling pressure if markets perceive it as an increase in liquid supply.

The key technical range is between support at $1.50 and resistance at $1.60. If buying interest returns and holds the $1.50 level, a retest of $1.60 is likely. However, a breakdown below $1.50 could see the price target the next significant support near $1.40.

The outlook is cautiously neutral to slightly bearish in the very short term, pending the market’s reaction to the escrow unlock and its ability to defend key support.

XRP’s modest decline reflects a combination of sector rotation away from alts and a technical pause after a strong quarterly rally. While underlying ETF demand is a positive long-term signal, it is currently being overshadowed by a lack of immediate bullish catalysts.

XRP Ledger releases xrpld 3.4.1, fixing batch functionality issues and including broader stability improvements. The official encourages validators and node operators to upgrade as soon as possible; developers state that this issue did not affect the mainnet and no funds were lost.

The new version introduces the fixBatchV1_2 amendment, with default voting set to approve, currently at a consensus rate of 94.29%.

This amendment and batch functionality have entered the activation phase; previously, some validators changed their votes from approve to reject to reset the voting timer for the Batch amendment. XRP Rises on Spot ETF Accumulation, Inches Near Target Price
