XRP Price Increases to $1.54 after Bitget Exchange Hack
Ripple (XRP) price increased slightly to $1.55 on Saturday, showing resilience after the Bitget exchange hack was discovered on September 24, 2026
With a 40% increase in trading volume over the past 24 hours, the token’s transaction value is approximately $7 billion, data from the crypto exchange revealed.
The total theft reached $387.5 million, with approximately 102.93 million XRP, valued at $157 million, as the single largest asset loss.
Traders said the price stability is a neutral-to-positive signal, suggesting the market has absorbed the news without panic selling.
It underscores that XRP’s value is decoupled from exchange security failures. However, the scale of the theft is a reminder of the systemic risks concentrated in centralised platforms.
XRP maintains its position with institutional investors through exchange-traded fund (ETF) holdings, even as elevated US Treasury yields pressure risk assets.
The total net inflow of $XRP spot ETFs reached $22.6455 million in a single day. The $XRP spot ETF with the highest net inflow yesterday was Bitwise $XRP ETF ($XRP), which recorded a daily net inflow of $18.3894 million, bringing its cumulative historical net inflow to $677 million.
Second was the Franklin XRP ETF (XRPZ), with a daily net inflow of $4.2561 million and a cumulative historical net inflow of $501 million.
Late on Friday, the total net asset value of XRP spot ETFs was $1.766 billion, with an XRP net asset ratio of 1.80%, and the total historical cumulative net inflow has reached $1.786 billion.
Market reports revealed that whales bought over 470 million XRP in five days, potentially signalling an imminent bullish breakout.
Meanwhile, the XRP Ledger Batch upgrade has been pushed back to October 9 after validator support fell below the required 80% threshold, resetting the mandatory two-week countdown.
The feature had been accumulating votes since September 15 but lost qualification when trusted validators temporarily withdrew support.
This marks the second attempt to activate Batch after developers withdrew the original version due to a critical signature-checking flaw; a corrected implementation shipped in August with ledger software version 3.3.0.
A separate PermissionDelegationV1_1 upgrade also experienced a support reset on September 23, delaying its earliest activation to October 8 at approximately 21:25 UTC.
This feature enables account owners to delegate specific operational tasks without sharing fund-control signing keys, allowing businesses to assign payment and compliance duties to separate accounts. Ripple XRP Price Declines on U.S. Fed Rate Hike Fears
