XRP Price Increases as ETF Inflows Drives Corporate Accumulation
XRP price jumped by approximately 3% in 24 hours to $1.37 on Thursday, outperforming Bitcoin’s gain, primarily driven by sustained institutional accumulation via its linked exchange traded funds (ETFs).
Crypto market data revealed that spot XRP ETFs recorded $14.38 million in net inflows on September 2 with no outflows, extending an 11-session inflow streaks.
This consistent buying, while Bitcoin ETFs saw significant outflows, indicates a rotation of institutional capital specifically into XRP, providing a direct bid under its price.
Institutional investors are accumulating XRP through regulated channels, creating a structural support floor. XRP is a top asset in the trending “SEC/CFTC Token Taxonomy” narrative, having been formally classified as a non-security digital commodity.
This regulatory clarity makes it a preferred altcoin for investors seeking reduced legal risk. Concurrently, the XRP Ledger’s primary stablecoin, RLUSD, saw its supply grow to $1.049 billion, indicating rising on-chain utility/
The immediate technical structure shows XRP trading above its 30-day moving average of $1.20, with the Relative Strength Index at 58.68 indicating room for further upside before becoming overbought.
The key upcoming event is the CLARITY Act Senate vote on September 15, which could provide further regulatory tailwinds or introduce uncertainty.
Crypto analysts said the trend is cautiously bullish, contingent on holding key support. A decisive break above $1.43 on high volume to confirm the next leg up, or a loss of $1.30 to invalidate the near-term bullish structure.
Traders said the combination of persistent ETF inflows and a favourable regulatory backdrop is providing XRP with relative strength against the broader market.
The immediate focus is on the upcoming Senate procedural vote for the CLARITY Act on 15 September 2026, which could codify a market structure and limit SEC enforcement against assets with existing favourable court rulings.
This is neutral to bullish for XRP because it represents a maturation of the regulatory conversation toward practical implementation, potentially reducing long-term uncertainty for institutional adoption.
At a Sept. 2 Bitwise presentation to about 400 wealth managers, $XRP “was the most asked about throughout the presentation,” research analyst Ryan Rasmussen said, adding there was “a lot of interest.”
An audience poll found 67% did not currently allocate to crypto; 60% expected prices higher by end-2026 and said they planned to allocate within a year. Bitwise did not publish firm-level details; the results are an informal event poll, not a representative survey.
