XRP Decouples from Bitcoin, Rises to $1.26 as Wallets Grow
Ripple (XRP) climbed 100 basis points to $1.26 on Tuesday, showing a slight decoupling as it edged higher while Bitcoin fell 1.11% amid cryptocurrency market fluctuations.
The move appears driven primarily by technical positioning within a tight consolidation range. Reflecting improved buyer conviction, trading volume is up 35% with $1.5 billion in transaction value over the last 24 hours.
On November 3, Santiment monitoring showed the XRP network added 7,934 new wallets on November 1, the sixth-highest daily increase since 2026.
Santiment said the surge in new wallet creation followed the Binance attack, which may have prompted more users to set up self-custody wallets.
The institution believes that if $XRP regains $1.30 and daily new wallet additions remain above approximately 4,000, the trend will be more favourable; conversely, if it falls below $1.20 and new wallets drop to fewer than 3,000 per day, this signal will weaken.
Meanwhile, crypto analysts said price is consolidating between immediate support at $1.23 and resistance at $1.27. The market is coiling, indicating trader indecision and building energy for a potential breakout.
The direction of the next sustained move is not yet determined by this pattern alone.
On-chain data shows robust network adoption, with the sixth-highest daily wallet creation of 2026 occurring on November 1. Concurrently, XRP slightly outperformed a falling Bitcoin, showing a degree of independent strength.
While wallet growth suggests underlying user interest, it doesn’t guarantee immediate price appreciation. The decoupling from Bitcoin’s drop may indicate some capital viewing XRP as a relative safe haven amid recent exchange security concerns.
The immediate trigger is a confirmed break from the $1.23–$1.27 range. If XRP closes above $1.27 on the four-hour chart, the next target is the 200-day average near $1.34.
Conversely, a break below $1.23 could accelerate selling toward the October low of $1.20.
Traders said continued U.S. spot ETF outflows and any movement of the hacker’s 233 million XRP stash are key external risks. The bias remains neutral until a range break provides clearer directional conviction. A decisive close outside the $1.23–$1.27 band with above-average volume.
The minor gain reflects a standoff between technical compression and cautious optimism from network growth, set against a wary macro backdrop. XRP Holds Firm as Ripple Gains Institutional Custody Via BNY
