XRP at Tired Trend, Buyers and Sellers Out of Actions
Ripple (XRP) price capped at $1 as the token stopped reacting to market moves after a 0.90% decline in 24 hours. Sellers appear tired of selling, and buyers are searching for catalysts to drive the next uptrend.
Traders said XRP is forming a new base for positive price action amid weak buyer conviction. Trading data shows that the token is underperforming Bitcoin, which is flat, and is primarily driven by negative sentiment following a bridge exploit.
XRP remained bearish over a security incident and fading regulatory catalyst. The Coreum–XRP bridge was exploited, and the key CLARITY Act vote was delayed to September 15.
A security exploit on the Coreum–XRP bridge resulted in the loss of roughly 200,000 XRP, prompting an emergency shutdown and FBI involvement.
Concurrently, the anticipated vote on the U.S. CLARITY Act was delayed until September 15, removing a near-term regulatory catalyst.
These events directly undermine confidence in XRP’s ecosystem and extend the timeline for regulatory clarity, a key overhang on the price.
Data shows clear selling pressure in derivatives markets, with Binance’s Taker Buy/Sell Ratio at 0.86—its lowest since May—indicating more aggressive sell orders.
Meanwhile, spot XRP ETF inflows collapsed to just $1.01 million last week.
Short-term traders are betting against XRP, and institutional demand via regulated products has dried up, leaving no supportive buying.
With trading signals indicating an overold level, the immediate focus is the psychological $1.00 support level, which XRP briefly broke below on August 11.
The next major catalyst is the CLARITY Act procedural vote on September 15. If selling pressure continues and $1.00 fails to hold, the next significant support zone is $0.94–$0.86.
The trend is bearish below $1.05. A sustained close above $1.20 would be needed to shift the structure to neutral or bullish. Daily closes relative to $1.00 and any shifts in the Taker Buy/Sell Ratio above 1.0, which could signal a short-term squeeze.
