Transcorp Power Declares N1.50 Interim Dividend
Transcorp Power Plc’s board of directors has proposed to pay the power-generating company’s shareholders N1.50 per share as an interim dividend for the first half of 2026.
The board decided in line with the company’s dividend policy amidst operational challenges relating to infrastructure vandalism, which dented earnings in the period.
In its unaudited financial statement, the company posted about N55 billion in pre-tax profit in the first half of the financial year 2026, maintaining a positive outlook for the second half.
Energy delivery declined about 8% year on year in the first half of 2026 on the back of recurring transmission line vandalisation, which constrained the evacuation of available generation capacity.
In H1 2026 earnings scorecard, revenue declined to N181.97 billion, 11.58% below the N205.81 billion reported in the equivalent period in 2025.
Total assets grew by 9.9%, from ₦563.48 billion to ₦619.02 billion, while shareholders’ funds rose by 3.2%, from N183.40 billion to ₦ 189.34 billion.
The company said its operating margin increased to 30.6% from 28.5% in 2025, and Profit Before Tax margin increased to 30.2% from 28.5% in 2025. Transcorp Power’s interim dividend is N1.50, implying a payout ratio and dividend yield of 29.2% and 0.6%, respectively. #Transcorp Power Declares N1.50 Interim Dividend#
