    Nasarawa’s Only Female Legislator Empowers Constituents with N20m

    Hajiya Hajara Danyaro, member representing Nasarawa Central at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has distributed N10,000 each to 300 people in her constituency.

    She also distributed  4 cars, 10 motorcycles and 40 Modern Charcoal stoves to the people of her constituency in order to improve their standard of living.

    Danyaro (APC), also the Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development and Vice Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, made the distribution on Monday in Nasarawa Local Government Area of the State.

    She said that the gestures were aimed at positively enhancing the lives of the people of her constituency.

    According to her, “I am here today to appreciate the people of my constituency for electing and giving me their mandates into the State House of Assembly.

    “I have done two or three programmes before now, the gestures are for palliatives.

    “But today I am here to say thank you to the people of Nasarawa Central constituency for voting me,” she said.

    The only female legislator in the State said that she has spent more than N20 million in the empowerment programme.

    “I have distributed N10,000 each to 300 people, totalling N3 miilion, 4 cars, one to each traditional institution of Nasarawa, Ara and Laminga respectively and one for my aide.

    “I have also distributed 10 motorcycles; three to religious leaders, youth groups three, three for women groups and one for party.

    “I further distributed 40 modern Charcoal stoves to critical stakeholders that made important contributions for my emergence as candidate and member.

    “In all, I have spent more than N20 million to empower my constituents today,” she said.

    She pledged to continue to empower the people of her constituency as well as attract projects to the area.

    Danyaro urged the beneficiaries not to sell the items but use them to better their lots.

    She also assured of effective and sound representation at the state legislature.

    The female legislator called on the people to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule and APC to succeed.

    She also urged her constituents and other people of the state to live in unity, peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.

    Also speaking, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, the State APC Chairman, appreciated Hajara for the gesture and prayed God to bless her abundantly.

    He urged those who are yet to benefit from Hajara’s gestures to be patient and prayed for their turn.

    Also speaking, the Emir of Nasarawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibrin, appreciated the lawmaker for always coming to the aid of her people.

    The first class traditional ruler said that the gesture would improve the standard of living of the people of the constituency and prayed God to bless her abundantly.

    He urged the people of his domain and Nigerians to show love, patience, embrace unity and peace for the overall development of the country.

    On their parts, Dr Mohammed Musa Ahmed, the State Accountant General and Mrs Munirat Abdullahi, Commissioner for Finance, appreciated the lawmaker for coming to the plights of her people.

    They called on the people of the constituency and the state at large to continue to support Gov. Sule to succeed.

    They added that Gov. Sule had done a lot and is still doing moreto improve the lives of the people of the state.

    Earlier, Hon Sani Ottos, the Executive Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area, commended Hajara for the gesture and urged the people of the area to support her to succeed.

    Ottos also called on the people of the area to support Gov Sule to succeed in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

    The chairman urged the people of the area to live peacefully with each other for the overall development of the area.

    Responding, beneficiaries Bako Ago and Jummai Tanko, appreciated Hajara for the gesture and assured her of their prayers, loyalty and support at all times. Naira Devaluation Deepens Economic Crisis in Nigeria

    The event featured presentation of certificates of competence to 21 graduands trained in different skills by Dr Daniel Ewuga Asele, the  Executive Director, Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute, Lafia.

    The graduands were sponsored by Danyaro to enable them become self reliant and contribute their quota to the development of the society.
