Guaranty Trust Bank, or GTBank, has increased its quarterly spending by 100% to $40,000 for the summer holiday, according to the latest update from the financial services company.
The bank had notified customers that they could spend $20,000 each quarter via naira debit card transactions as part of its summer holiday offers.
In an email note, GTBank said customers can now spend $40,000 anywhere in the world using their naira debit card on point-of-sale (POS) and web transactions.
GTCO said customers will have 24-hour access to their funds from across 21 million automatic teller machines (ATMs) and daily cash withdrawals of $1000 worldwide using the GTBank dollar card.
“No limit on PoS and web transactions worldwide using GTBank dollar card”, the bank told customers.
MarketForces Africa reported that a recent regulatory permission that allows dollar purchases using the naira debit card has reduced transaction pressure faced by many Nigerians seeking to make low-ticket foreign payments. GTBank Sets $20K Quarterly Spending on Naira Debit Card
