Galaxy Backbone Partners SHELT Global on Cybersecurity Solutions

Galaxy Backbone (GBB) Ltd has announced a partnership with SHELT Global limited, a Europe based Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to deliver cyber security solutions in the country.

Mr Chidi Okpala, Head of Media and Marketing of GBB, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, said that the partnership also involved Cyber Immune Limited, a subsidiary of GBB.

Okpala said that the partnership was welcomed by both SHELT and GBB as they endeavour to lead the development and deployment of technology initiatives and services in Nigeria.

He explained that SHELT GLOBAL LIMITED was a technologically advanced MSSP that offered a range of cyber security services through leading institutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

He added that SHELT GLOBAL Ltd had been nominated by Enterprise Security Magazine as one of the top 10 Managed MSSPs in Europe in 2020.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of SHELT Global Ltd, Mr Youssef Abillama, said that the partnership was an indication that Nigeria was keen on digitisation and promotion of cyber security.

“This partnership with an industry leader such as GBB proves that Nigeria is keen on digitisation and also eager to promote the security of its processes. We are happy to be a part of this journey with Galaxy Backbone,” he said.

Also, Prof. Muhammad Abubakar, GBB’s Managing Director, expressed excitement at the partnership, which he said would further enhance cyber security in the country. Abubakar said: “I am quite pleased about the partnership between our organisation and SHELT.

“I am confident that this partnership will further help deliver greater value to the cyber security space in Nigeria. Together, we will secure a Digital Nigeria.’’

Galaxy Backbone is charged with the responsibility of operating a nationwide network backbone for the benefit of public and private organizations. It also helps to facilitate the digital inclusion of underserved areas and rural communities towards the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
