Fidelity Bank on Stock Buy Recommendation, 40% Upside Estimated

Fidelity Bank Plc’s share price is anticipated to increase sharply as equities analysts at Cowry Asset Limited raise their target price to N27.30, 40% above the reference stock market price.

With a buy recommendation on significant upside, the investment firm Cowry Asset Limited is effectively passing a vote of confidence in Fidelity Bank’s earnings performance and capital appreciation.

Market analysts said the bank’s upcoming earnings report and investor conference could serve as catalysts for renewed investor confidence and upward revisions to estimates.

A slew of equities analysts maintained that the Nigerian lender is undervalued. Fidelity stock staged a notable rebound in August, but shares remain deeply below their 52-week high.

The bank’s share price is rated a buy by Cowry Asset Limited in its weekly stock recommendation, reflecting equity analysts’ expectations for Fidelity Bank’s future earnings

The recent market performance, however, has been considerably more encouraging. The target price suggests analysts’ expectation that Fidelity Bank will break its 52-week high of N24.25. The Bank’s share price closed at N20 last week, 40% below the investment firm’s target price.

Investors traded a significant share volume, with estimates showing that the bank is underpriced. The market anticipates earnings results to drive the next re-rating, as Fidelity Bank continues to bolster its balance sheet quality and business delivery, rivalling its immediate peers

Moody’s recently affirmed Fidelity’s B3 long-term deposit ratings and its b3 standalone BCA, and changed the outlook on the bank’s long-term deposit ratings to positive from stable.

The global rating agency said Fidelity Bank’s credit rating reflects its sound profitability, with net income to tangible assets of 2.3% in 2025.

Fidelity Bank has solid liquidity buffers, evidenced by a core banking liquidity-to-tangible banking assets ratio of 29.0% as of March 2026.

Equities analysts anticipated a re-rating, supported by renewed buying interest and positive investor sentiment following confirmation of Nigeria’s reclassification by FTSE Russell. #Fidelity Bank on Stock Buy Recommendation, 40% Upside Estimated# Fidelity Bank Climbs Ahead of Q2 Earnings Scorecard
