CoreWeave Share Price Climbs on Anthropic AI Deal

CoreWeave’s (NASDAQ: CRWV) share price climbed to $104 in premarket trading on Friday after the company announced a multi-year agreement with artificial intelligence (AI) startup Anthropic.

The price surge is fuelled by investors’ optimism over the company’s earnings outlook after the AI deal.

The stock extends its weekly momentum, supported by the AI deal, including a $21 billion deal with Meta Platforms. The latest agreement reinforces investor confidence in CoreWeave’s expanding role in the AI infrastructure ecosystem.

Under the terms of the collaboration, Anthropic will leverage CoreWeave’s cloud platform to support the rollout and scaling of its Claude models.

The companies indicated that deployment will occur in phases, with the potential for further expansion over time. The rollout will begin later this year, with capacity expected to scale over time.

Anthropic has been facing surging demand for its AI services and is investing heavily to expand its computing capacity. The company has committed $50 billion toward building new AI data centres in the United States.

Michael Intrator, CoreWeave CEO said the agreement reflects a broader shift in the AI industry toward real-world application and deployment.

“AI is no longer just about infrastructure, it’s about the platforms that turn models into real-world impact,” Intrator said in a statement.

“We’re excited to work with Anthropic at the centre of where models are put to work and performance in production shows up,” he said. “It’s exactly the kind of real-world deployment of AI that CoreWeave was built for.”

CoreWeave also highlighted its technical benchmarks, including strong results in MLPerf testing and top rankings in SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX evaluations, which measure performance, efficiency, and reliability of AI cloud platforms. Nairobi Index Climbs as Coop Bank, Equity Group Rally
