Bureau of Public Procurement Begins Implementation of e-Govt. Plan

The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has commenced the implementation of its E-Government Plan in line with the Federal Government’s drive towards digitalisation and enhanced efficiency in public service delivery.

This is according to a  circular by the Director-General of  BPP, Dr Adebowale Adedokun  titled: “Transition to Electronic Submission Procedure at the BPP”, and dated Aug. 4, 2025,

Adedokun hinged the implementation of the circular on the provisions of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) 2020-2030, and the National E-Government Master Plan (NEGM) 2021.

He said that in view of the above, the BPP wished to notify all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of procedures for making submissions to the bureau. “With effect from Aug. 18, the bureau will cease to receive all forms of requests and submissions in hard copy format.

“This transition is in accordance with BPP’s ongoing implementation of the NDEPS and the circular on the digitalisation of government operations.

“Al MDAs are, henceforth, required to submit all procurement-related documents electronically via the designated email address: submissions@bpp.gov.ng,” he said

Adedokun said that each submission must be attached in two file formats: PDF (for official record-keeping), and Editable formats such as .docx, .xisx, or others as applicable to enable review and processing.

“All communications and responses relating to requests for the adoption of Special or Restricted Methods of Procurement Act, 2007, shall be directed exclusively  to the bureau’s  designated email: official@bpp.gov.ng

“As part of the transition, all MDAs are requested to forward to the Bureau two functional official email addresses and two active telephone numbers of designated officers for formal communication and authentication purposes.

“All MDAs are kindly advised to give this directive immediate attention and ensure full compliance to prevent disruptions or delays in procurement submissions and reviews,” Adedokun said. #Bureau of Public Procurement Begins Implementation of e-Govt.
