XRP Rises as Digital Asset Market Clarity Act Faces Crucial Vote

Ripple (XRP) price climbed near $1.40 on Tuesday as the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act faces a crucial vote.  XRP stands at a regulatory crossroads, with a pivotal Senate vote and strong ETF demand highlighting its institutional appeal.

The U.S. Senate is scheduled for a cloture vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act on 15 September. The bill aims to clarify regulatory jurisdiction, formally classifying certain digital assets like XRP as commodities.

Passage requires 60 votes, needing support from at least seven Democratic senators. This is bullish for XRP because codifying its commodity status would significantly reduce legal overhang for institutions.

However, prediction markets show low odds of passage, around 30%, indicating high political risk and potential for disappointment.

U.S. spot XRP ETFs have gathered approximately $1.7 billion in net inflows since their launch in November 2025. On 14 September alone, they saw an $11.26 million inflow. This demand starkly contrasts with struggling Dogecoin ETFs, which have seen minimal interest.

This is bullish for XRP because sustained ETF inflows demonstrate robust institutional and retail demand in regulated vehicles, reinforcing its investment thesis separate from meme coins. It provides a steady source of buying pressure.

The XRP Ledger’s “Batch V1.1” amendment is one validator vote away from starting its two-week activation process. The upgrade allows users to bundle up to eight transactions into a single, atomic operation, a feature useful for decentralized exchanges and complex payments.

This is bullish for XRP because it represents meaningful technical progress, enhancing the ledger’s utility for developers and commercial projects. The rigorous security review that fixed 11 bugs before activation also strengthens network reliability.

XRP’s narrative is currently dominated by a high-stakes regulatory vote and proven institutional demand through ETFs, while core development continues to advance. Ripple’s CEO Sees XRP Hitting $10trn Market Cap
