XRP Hovers at $1.30 as Ripple Says Customers, Partners Increase 3x
Ripple (XRP) inched down 2%, now hovering around $1.30 on Thursday, underperforming a slightly negative broader market, driven mainly by a lack of immediate positive catalysts and technical selling pressure.
Market analysts remain optimistic about XRP hitting its target price for the year following recent announcements from Ripple’s Swell conference, including expanded custody with BNY Mellon and a strategic partnership with Robinhood, primarily involve Ripple’s stablecoin (RLUSD) and treasury services.
While positive for Ripple’s business, they did not create immediate, new utility demand for XRP itself. In a risk-off environment, this led to underperformance as traders took profits or rotated capital.
Positive ecosystem news does not automatically translate to short-term price gains for the native token, especially when the news sidelines its direct use case.
According to cryptocurrency analysts, concrete announcements linking XRP as a settlement bridge for RLUSD or other tokenised assets could shift the narrative.
XRP broke below its 50-day of $1.33 and 200-day of $1.37, turning these levels into resistance. The 24h volume increased by 10.71% to $1.99B, indicating heightened selling activity. The RSI-14 at 36.73 signals oversold conditions but does not guarantee a reversal.
The technical structure has weakened, inviting further selling unless buyers defend the $1.25–$1.29 support zone. A daily close above $1.33 to signal a potential recovery; failure to hold $1.25 may trigger a steeper decline.
The immediate trigger is the November 1 escrow unlock of 1 billion XRP (worth about $1.29 billion). Historically, these unlocks haven’t consistently caused short-term drops, but they add potential supply-side overhang.
The broader market is neutral, with Bitcoin dominance steady at 60%, suggesting capital isn’t rotating into altcoins. XRP’s near-term path hinges on holding key support levels while awaiting a catalyst to reignite bullish momentum.
Traders advised to monitor the market’s reaction to the escrow release and any shifts in U.S. spot XRP ETF flows, which saw no net movement in the latest data.
Ripple said it is on track to exit 2026 with $900 million in annualised product revenues, adding that it is focusing on integration in 2025, combining native product growth and strategic acquisitions, and the results speak for themselves.
Ripple said that moving over $16 trillion in transactions across its products onto digital rails in 2025 is historic. With over 85 licenses, Ripple said it has built end-to-end digital asset infrastructure that gives 1,700+ institutions, corporate tokenised enterprises always-on access to move, manage, hold and tokenise value.
Also, Ripple said it has seen 3X growth in customers and partners such as BNY, DriveWealth, Robinhood, and Water.org using multiple solutions together including payments, custody, stablecoin, prime brokerage and treasury management.
“As traditional and digital finance converge, market infrastructure is migrating to modern rails. Settlement is moving to real-time, 24/7, and tokenized assets can be traded, financed and used as collateral,” said Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple.
“Ripple is at the epicenter of this massive transformation to rewire the world’s financial system, solving the inefficiencies that have slowed money movement for decades with digital assets like XRP. Others focus on individual pieces of the puzzle – Ripple is bringing all of that together, with our partners, to enable the Internet of Value.”
