Wike Closes Secretariat of Dissolved Committee on Sales of FG Houses

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has directed the immediate closure of the secretariat of the dissolved Ad-hoc Committee on Sales of Federal Government Houses (SFGH) in FCT.

Mr Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, said this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja.

Olayinka said the minister had also approved the creation of a division in the Department of Land Administration to handle matters relating to SFGH in the FCT.

He explained that after the committee completed its assignments, its secretariat was retained to attend to issues arising from its activities.

“With the formal closure of the Secretariat, the general public is enjoined to henceforth approach the Department of Land Administration on all issues relating to SFGH in the territory,” he said.

The spokesman urged members of the public to beware of fraudsters parading themselves as staff, officers or members of the defunct ad-hoc committee and secretariat on SFGH. “The committee and secretariat no longer exist,” he said. #Wike Closes Secretariat of Dissolved Committee on Sales of FG Houses# Wike Denies Lobbying for APC Presidential Campaign DG
