United Capital Spikes after Dividends, Bonus Notice
United Capital Plc’s market value spiked by about 10% on Thursday as the company announced a plan to pay interim and bonus dividends to shareholders.
According to data from the Nigerian Exchange, United Capital (Ticker: UCAP) gained 9.92% to lead the gainer’s chart, a development stockbrokers tagged as a reaction to the company’s earnings release and proposed dividend
“A dividend of N0.90 per 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on July 31, 2024”, the company told the Nigerian Exchange in a regulatory filing.
UCAP plans to pay dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as of July 31, 2024, and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts
Shareholders with dividend warrants and share certificates that have remained unclaimed or are yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation are advised to complete the e-dividend registration or contact the Registrar. Reps Back N500bn Allocation to Housing Ministry
