Ukraine Submits Peace Proposals to U.S. Negotiators

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday said that Kyiv had submitted proposals to U.S. negotiators outlining a possible plan to end the war with Russia.

Zelenskiy also suggested that Moscow could use next month’s parliamentary election as a pretext for launching a new mobilisation.

Peace efforts have largely stalled since the outbreak of the conflict with Iran, with Ukraine continuing to push for a ceasefire after nearly four and a half years of fighting.

“We have conveyed our proposals to the American side,” Zelenskiy said in his nightly video address.

He said U.S. negotiators were expected to visit both Russia and Ukraine soon and added that Washington could help strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities. Zelensky did not disclose details of the proposals.

U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner last visited Moscow in January but have yet to travel to Kyiv.

Russia says it is seeking a settlement but maintains that any agreement must include Ukraine’s full withdrawal from four regions claimed by Moscow and address what it describes as the conflict’s “root causes. #Ukraine Submits Peace Proposals to U.S. Negotiators# Ukraine Sets Russian Refinery Ablaze in Fresh Drone Attack
