President Buhari reconstitutes NNPC Board

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstitution of the Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

This President made the call after the expiration of the term of the board members appointed in 2016.

Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed this in a statement in Abuja on Saturday.

According to the statement resleased, members of the new Board include Mohammed Lawal from North West, and Tajudeen Umar from North East.

Others are Adamu Mahmood Attah from North Central, Senator Magnus Abe South South, Dr Stephen Dike from South East, and Chief Pius Akinyelure South West.

Adesina however said that the new board will be in place for three years.
