    Presco, MTNN, Banking Names Drive Midday Gain on NGX

    Presco, MTN Nigeria, Access Holdings, and FCMB are currently trending positively in the equities segment of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), according to stockbrokers. Data obtained from the NGX trading platform confirmed the bargain hunting across key segments.

    The local bourse has been heated up with massive buying interest in some stocks with strong earnings potential and rather impressive fundamentals.  Transactions have been relatively positive, suggesting the local bourse would gain weight in the absence of last minute sell pressure.

    At mid-day, the NGX All Share Index trended positively, registering a gain of 0.09%, Alpha Morgan Capital Limited said in a note. Stockbrokers attribute the positive movement buying interest of investors in some mid to high-capitalised stocks.

    Midday gainers include PRESCO has gained 6.45% on the day as the company’s earnings performance triggered massive buying interest.

    STERLINGNG is up by 2.59% during the intraday training session, while INTBREW has seen 1.82% price appreciation.
