PremiumTrust Bank, NFF Partner to Drive Football Development

As part of the deliberate efforts of PremiumTrust Bank to further strengthen its commitment to youth and sports development in Nigeria, the bank recently signed a partnership deal with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja to drive football development in Nigeria.

According to the landmark deal, the Bank also becomes the official banking partner of the NFF and all Nigerian national teams. This strategic partnership underscores PremiumTrust Bank’s vision of fostering growth and empowerment for individuals, businesses, and communities across Nigeria.

By supporting the Nation’s football landscape, the bank aims to provide a platform for young talents to excel exceptionally and contribute to the country’s sporting glory.

While the partnership embodies the mantra of PremiumTrust Bank – “Together for Growth”, it further validates the Bank’s commitment to being at the forefront of sports development in Nigeria.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of PremiumTrust Bank, Mr. Emmanuel Efe Emefienim (CON, FCIB), emphasized the Bank’s dedication to positively impacting individuals, businesses, and communities.

He highlighted the Bank’s role in supporting the government’s efforts towards creating opportunities for young and emerging football talents to thrive globally.

“As a bank, we are very deliberate when it comes to sports development, youth empowerment, and impacting lives and communities where we do business.

“We also see this as an opportunity to support the government because we believe that the private sector has a role to play in supporting sports and providing the right platform for youths to express themselves and showcase their talents on the global scene”, he said.

Also speaking at the signing ceremony, the president of the Nigerian Football Federation, Mr. Ibrahim Musa Gusau assured the Bank of a continuous mutually beneficial relationship whilst noting that the Bank will have unhindered access to all programmes of the football federation and the national teams.

He also noted that the partnership will undoubtedly boost the efforts of the Bank and the federation to develop football in Nigeria and achieve greater heights internationally.

Despite being in existence for a little over 2 years, PremiumTrust Bank has consistently demonstrated its dedication to youth empowerment and sports development in Nigeria through various initiatives.

In addition to the current partnership with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) to sponsor, motivate, and inspire Nigerian athletes to reach their full potential and shine globally, the Bank signed world record holder Oluwatobiloba Amusan and African long jump champion, Ese Brume as brand ambassadors and was the lead sponsor of the 2022 National Sports Festival (NSF) in Delta State.

This recent partnership with the NFF marks another significant milestone in the Bank’s journey to becoming a leading force in sports development in Nigeria. #PremiumTrust Bank, NFF Partner to Drive Football Development Jigawa Govt, Bank of Industry Sign N6bn Partnership
