Oando, Transcorp, UBA Drive Intraday Movement in Equities Market

Buying interest in Oando Energy PLC, Transcorp PLC, Access Holdings, GTCO and UBA has boosted equities market performance during the intraday trading session today.

Investors were seen taking positions in banking names during early trading hours on Nigerian Exchange (NGX) platform.

The local bourse closed negative yesterday, losing seven basis points as bears held down bargain hunters.

At mid-day, the NGX All share Index trended upward, displaying a gain of  0.06%, Alpha Morgan Capital Limited said in a note to investors.

Stockbrokers attributed the upward trajectory to buying sentiments of investors in some mid to high capitalized stocks.

Oando energy is among the top gainers in the market as demand for energy stock gained momentum.

During the early trading session, OANDO has gained  8.72%, TRANSCORP  was up by 2.83% and  UBA has a  1.59% uptick .

Other banking names are also seen as a positive price movement, according to data from the local bourse. ACCESSCORP  is up by 0.26%, GTCO  0.22%, and the are other early risers pushing equities market index higher.  #Oando, Transcorp, UBA Drive Intraday Movement in Equities Market
