Nvidia Tokenised bStocks Down as AI, Tech Stocks Lose $1trn
NVIDIA Tokenised bStocks (NVDAB) price down 1.06% to $214.63 amid a global tech-stock rout, closely tracking the broader crypto market’s 1.66% decline.
The price reflects bearish sentiment in the equities market. Tech stocks shed more than $1 trillion in value on Friday as oil prices soared to their highest levels in five months.
The Nasdaq 100 index, which tracks most of the country’s largest tech and AI-linked companies, sold off by 2.5% and now sits about 7% below its most recent all-time high — a record it had only notched last week.
The S&P 500 dropped 1%, and the Russell 2000 index fell 1.6%. The Philadelphia semiconductor index dropped 3.8% for its eighth straight day of losses, the longest such streak since 2008.
The price decline mirrored its macro-sensitive beta, as the tokenised equity shows a strong correlation with weakness in traditional markets.
The drop aligns with a 1.62% decline in Bitcoin and a 1.66% drop in total crypto market cap. Tokenised equities like NVDAB often act as a bridge between crypto and traditional finance, showing a strong 24-hour correlation of 85% with the S&P 500.
NVDAB’s price is more sensitive to general market risk sentiment than to NVIDIA-specific news in the short term. Its share price slid just 1% while the broader tech sector lost over $1 trillion in a single day.
Trading volume for NVDAB fell 59.46% over the past 24 hours to $17.48 million. This significant drop suggests the price decline was not fuelled by aggressive selling but rather a lack of buying interest in a thin market.
The move lacks momentum, pointing to a modest drift rather than a capitulation event.
The immediate path hinges on two anchors: Bitcoin’s stability around $81,454 and the price of NVIDIA’s underlying stock, which traded near $216.
If BTC holds above $81,000 and equity markets stabilise, NVDAB could consolidate between $210 and $220. The key risk is a breakdown in macro sentiment, which could push NVDAB toward the $200 support level.
The token is in a holding pattern, awaiting direction from larger markets. NVDAB’s minor decline reflects its role as a beta asset in a risk-off macro environment, with the decline amplified by low liquidity. NVIDIA Tokenised bStocks Slides on Bearish IMF Report
