    NEM Insurance Hits 52-Week on Rising Investors Confidence

    NEM Insurance Plc reached its highest market value in 52 weeks in the equities market as investor sentiment improved ahead of the half-year 2025 earnings release. The company’s market value surged by 22.22% week on week, reflecting investors improved sentiment and positioning ahead of the second quarter of 2025 earnings release.

    Trading data from the Nigerian Exchange indicated that the insurer’s share price climbed to N22 in the stock market on Friday as 2.272 million units valued at N48.570 million were transacted among stockholders.

    NEM Insurance’s share price opened the week at N18, and it moved higher three times to close the week at N22, gaining 22.22%. The company’s price appreciation boosted its market value to N110.362 billion, spread over its 5.016 billion shares outstanding in the market.

    NEM Insurance is the second most valuable brand in the stock market by valuation. According to the insurer’s earnings forecast, the company forecasted profit for the first half of 2025 to reach N14.042 billion.

    Insurance revenue for the half year 2025 is projected to reach N65.614 billion, its earnings forecast report filed with the Nigerian Exchange revealed. NEM Insurance forecasted its total assets to reach N120.464 billion in the first half of 2025, funded by an estimated N69.214 billion in total equity.
