    MTN Nigeria redeems $399.494 million preference share

    MTN Nigeria redeems $399.494 million preference shares.

    MTN Nigeria Plc. www.mtnonline.com has secured regulatory approval to redeem all 402, 590, 263 preference shares at $0.9925579.

    The numbers of preferred shares was made to shareholders at the sum of $20,124,513.15.

    In its recent release, the telecommunication company confirms the receipt of regulatory approval to redeem its convertible redeemable cumulative preference shares at $399,494,890.21.

    It would be recalled that the redemption of the preferred stock was approved in April 24, 2019 by the Board subject to necessary regulatory approvals.

    MTN, the leading Telco giant in Nigeria said it has commence payment to its preference shareholders, stated that formal notice will be dispatched to the shareholders as soon as payment is concluded.
