    KMPG Nigeria Names Yemi Kale Chief Economist, Partner

    Ex-statistician general of the Federation, Dr. Oyeyemi Kale has become chief economist, and partner at KPMG Nigeria, the accounting firm said in a statement posted on its LinkedIn page.

    Dr Kale served as Chief Executive Officer at the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) for 10 years before he retired from public service in 2021.   

    As Chief Executive Officer and statistician general at the Bureau, Kale was saddled with the responsibility to provide reports of key economic data and records for the Nigerian government.

     Kale holds a B.Sc. honour degree in economics with first class grade from Addis Ababa University and M.Sc. (distinction) and PhD. Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science.

    He has deep experience, gained from both private and public sectors in macroeconomic analysis, financial, economics and investment research and fiscal and macroeconomics policy advisory.

     “As our Chief Economist, Yemi will lead the firm’s view on macroeconomics and enhance the breadth of our solutions by leading engagements involving economic modelling, macroeconomic analysis and econometrics for both public and private sector clients”, KPMG Nigeria said in a statement. # KMPG Nigeria Names Yemi Kale Chief Economist, Partner
