    Kano Govt, Tony Blair Institute Partner to Create $23.5m Energy Sector Investment

    The Kano  State Government is teaming up with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change to bring in 23.5 million dollars in investments and create wealth in the energy sector.

    This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesman, Bature Dawalin-Tofa in Kano on Friday

    The Governor’s Initiative to Energize the Economy of Kano State (GEEKS) programme aims to reform energy supply and boost industrialisation.

    Yusuf praised the team for its well-articulated blueprint.

    “The programme focuses on strategic planning for state electricity market development, universal access to electricity for commercial and industrial activities and electrification pathways for sustainable energy.

    “Others transitioning transportation to electric-powered vehicles and productive use of renewable energy in agriculture and health sectors.

    The partnership expects to attract millions of dollars, create over 1 million jobs within 3 years, and increase agricultural production by 35 per cent ’’, he said. #Kano Govt, Tony Blair Institute Partner to Create $23.5m Energy Sector Investment
