FG to Launch Platforms to Enhance Transparency, Track Performance of MDAs

Federal Government will, on July 14, officially launch three new digital platforms designed to enhance transparency and track the performance of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Aliyu Umar Aliyu, the Head of Communication and Strategy at the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), on Wednesday in Abuja.

The initiative is aimed at tackling the age-old issues of institutional corruption, missing files, and fragmented tracking of government promises across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

According to Aliyu, the official unveiling will take place at 11 a.m. at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Shehu Shagari Complex, Abuja.

He noted that the new digital ecosystem is being driven by the BPSR under the OSGF to give citizens and government leaders real-time insight into how reforms are being executed.

The three tools to be deployed include the Reforms Tracker Dashboard, the Knowledge Repository, and the National Strategy for Public Service Reform (NSPSR) Strategy Dashboard.

For Nigerians who have long complained about the lack of transparency in how government agencies execute their mandates, the Reforms Tracker Dashboard will serve as a digital watchdog.

“It will monitor reform milestones, project timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across all MDAs using verified data,” he said.

According to him, the Knowledge Repository will operate as a centralised, open-access digital library.

“It is designed to put an end to the “missing file” syndrome by preserving institutional memory, housing reform policies, case studies, and guidelines to ensure evidence-based decision-making.

The third tool, the NSPSR Strategy Dashboard, will provide a live, visual map of the national reform strategy, allowing decision-makers to spot non-performing sectors instantly and fix implementation bottlenecks.

” The integrated platforms will address longstanding challenges associated with fragmented reform reporting, limited access to institutional knowledge, and the absence of a unified mechanism for tracking reform implementation across government institutions,” Aliyu said.

He added that the deployment of these technologies underscores the government’s commitment to building a results-driven public service that delivers quality, timely services to ordinary Nigerians while restoring public confidence in governance.

The event is expected to attract high-ranking stakeholders, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, ministers, permanent secretaries, and civil society organisations. #FG to Launch Platforms to Enhance Transparency, Track Performance of MDAs#
