Elon Musk Announces Formation of ‘America Party’ After Feud with Trump

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has launched a new political party called the “America Party” after a dramatic break with US President Donald Trump. The party’s primary goal is to “give Americans back their freedom” and challenge the country’s existing two-party system, which Musk describes as a “one-party system”.

Musk announced the party’s formation on July 5, 2025, after conducting a poll on his social media platform, X, which garnered over 1.2 million responses. Nearly 65% of participants supported the idea of creating a new party. Musk stated that the America Party would focus on restoring freedom to Americans and might initially target 2 or 3 Senate seats and 8 to 10 House districts.

The billionaire’s decision to launch a new party comes after a public feud with Trump, particularly over Trump’s domestic policy package, which Musk strongly opposed due to its massive spending. Musk had previously been a strong supporter of Trump and even donated significantly to his 2024 election campaign. However, their relationship soured after Trump passed a bill increasing the debt ceiling by $5 trillion, which Musk criticized as reckless spending

Musk’s new party aims to challenge the longstanding dominance of the Republican and Democratic parties, positioning itself as a direct alternative to the existing political system. The party’s formation has sparked significant interest and debate, with many speculating about its potential impact on American politics . #Elon Musk Announces Formation of ‘America Party’ After Feud with Trump#
