Edo Assembly Approves N100bn Loan for Okpebholo’s Infrastructure Projects
The Edo House of Assembly has approved a N100 billion loan for Governor Monday Okpebholo to carry out infrastructural development across the state. The loan facility is to be sourced from First Bank Nigeria Plc and will support contractors’ financing for various infrastructure projects in Edo.
The lawmakers unanimously supported the request, stating that it will help complete all ongoing infrastructure projects in the state. The House Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku, directed the Clerk to forward clean copies of the resolution approving the request to the governor for immediate implementation.
This development comes as the House also passed a bill establishing St. Matthew Royal College of Nursing Science, Edenu-Irrua.
