Ecobank Unveils Podcast to Promote Entrepreneurship in Africa

Ecobank Nigeria has introduced “Scaling Up!!!”, a business storytelling podcast, aimed at inspiring, educating and empowering entrepreneurs, founders and business leaders across Africa.

The bank, in a statement on Saturday, said that the podcast underscored its commitment to supporting businesses beyond financial services by providing a platform for entrepreneurs to learn from successful founders, creatives and industry leaders.

According to it, the podcast will be available on Ecobank Nigeria’s official YouTube channel and other major digital streaming platforms.

It said the programme would feature conversations on entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, resilience and business growth, offering practical lessons and real-life experiences for aspiring and established entrepreneurs.

It reads, “The inaugural season features guests including beauty entrepreneur and Founder of Beauty by AD, Adeola Adeyemi (Diiadem); filmmaker and Founder of Golden Effects Pictures, Kunle Afolayan and music producer and Founder of Coded Tunes, ID Cabasa.

“Others are fashion entrepreneur Ejiro Amos Tafiri; commercial photographer Emmanuel Oyeleke; Co-founder and Lead Interior Designer of Siriano Ltd., Adewunmi Adegbola; and Founder of Windsor Gallery and Nahous Creative Hub, Richard Vedelago.”

According to Ecobank, the podcast is targeted at SMEs, entrepreneurs, startups, business executives, creatives, students and young professionals seeking practical business insights.

The bank noted that new episodes would be released regularly on its YouTube channel and other major podcast streaming platforms.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr Austen Osokpor, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Ecobank Nigeria, said the podcast reflected the bank’s belief that empowering entrepreneurs went beyond providing financial solutions.

“Through authentic storytelling and insightful conversations, we are creating a platform where business owners can learn directly from people who have successfully navigated the realities of building sustainable enterprises.

“It is another way we are reinforcing our commitment to driving entrepreneurship, innovation and economic growth across Africa,” he said.

Also, the bank’s Head of SMEs, Partnerships and Collaborations, Mrs Omoboye Odu, said entrepreneurs often learned best from those who had successfully built businesses.

She said the podcast would provide practical insights and inspiration to help founders make informed decisions, overcome challenges and unlock new opportunities for growth.

“Scaling Up!!! further strengthens Ecobank’s role as a trusted partner supporting SMEs at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey,” she said.

The Producer of the podcast, Ms Jemimah Ugiagbe, said the initiative was designed to offer honest and relatable conversations on the realities of entrepreneurship.

She said each episode would highlight the resilience, setbacks, bold decisions and lessons behind successful businesses, leaving listeners informed and inspired #Ecobank Unveils Podcast to Promote Entrepreneurship in Africa# Ecobank Delivers Q1 Earnings on Asset Quality Reset, Efficiency
