    Bankers to Discuss Strategies for Global Competitiveness as CIBN Inducts

    Bankers are set to discuss strategies for global competitiveness as the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) inducts members, according to a statement from the institute.

    According to the CIBN, As part of efforts towards ensuring enhanced performance and improved service delivery to bank customers, bankers and other financial experts across the globe will gather virtually to device cutting edge strategies that will help banks and bankers position for global relevance.

    This critical conversation is coming on the platform of the 2021 Graduates Induction and Prize Awards Ceremony of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

    The Institute will be awarding Certificates to candidates who have successfully completed the various Banking Professional Examinations of the Institute in the year 2020. The Virtual Induction Ceremony is scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11.00 a.m.

    During the programme, 609 newly qualified Associates (Chartered Bankers), and 410 Microfinance bankers would be formally admitted into the Associateship (ACIB) and Microfinance Certified Bankers (MCIB) categories of the Institute.

    The highpoint of the event will be the presentation of various Prize Awards to candidates who have distinguished themselves in the various categories of the Institute’s Examinations

    A lecture titled: “Breaking New Grounds: Positioning for Global Competitiveness” will be delivered by the Guest Speaker Mr. Niyi Yusuf, Managing Partner Verraki Business Solution for Africa to prepare the minds of the new professionals for the journey ahead and to equip them with essential tips that will help them navigate the terrain as they position themselves for global competitiveness.

    The Special Guest of Honour at the event will be Mr. Hassan Bello, Managing Director/CEO, Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) while Dr. Bayo Olugbemi, FCIB, President/Chairman of Council, CIBN will Chair the occasion. The host of the occasion will be ‘Seye Awojobi, Ph.D, FCIB, Registrar/CEO.

    The ceremony will attract eminent members of the banking community, captains of industries, corporate organizations, Fellows, Honorary Senior Members, Associates, as well as guests and friends of Inductees.
