Anthropic Chooses Nasdaq for Initial Public Offering

Anthropic has chosen Nasdaq as the listing venue for its potential initial public offering (IPO), with plans to list in October. Nasdaq previously successfully listed SpaceX, which is valued at $1.75 trillion, while Anthropic’s valuation could reach $2 trillion.

Anthropic announced June 1 that it confidentially submitted a draft S-1 to the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The filing gives Anthropic an option to proceed after the regulator completes its review.

Anthropic’s IPO filing has not yet been made public, but the company will need to release its financials at least 15 days before it begins its investor roadshow.

Anthropic said market conditions would determine whether the offering moves forward. Anthropic said it had not set the share count or price.

The company raised $65 billion in May at a $965 billion post-money valuation. Its annualised revenue run rate exceeded $65 billion by July’s end, rising from roughly $9 billion in late 2025.

That measure estimates recent sales activity and does not equal recognised annual revenue. Reported losses sharpen the test for the Anthropic IPO.

Anthropic reportedly posted a net loss of nearly $42 billion in 2025 amid high computing costs. The prospectus should show whether margins, cash usage, and customer concentration improved during 2026.

According to a report, Anthropic is in talks to bring in Nvidia as an anchor investor in its IPO, which is expected to be the largest ever. It is reported that Nvidia is considering investing up to $10 billion in this IPO.

The confidential submission differs from a public prospectus revealing audited accounts, risks, ownership, and offering terms. Anthropic has not published that filing.
