Alibaba Tokenised bStocks Up, Buoyed by Investors’ Interest in RWAs

Alibaba Tokenised bStocks (BABAB) is up 1.5% to $131.2, moving independently as Bitcoin fell 2.02%, primarily driven by surging sector-wide interest in tokenised real-world assets (RWAs).

Strong momentum across the tokenised stock sector, where monthly transfer volume surged 138.45% to $20.72 billion, lifting related assets.

The broader tokenised RWA sector hit a $38.17 billion milestone, with tokenised stocks seeing distributed value rise 5.10% to $2.37 billion and monthly transfer volume jump 138.45%.

This indicates accelerating capital flows into the asset class, providing a tailwind for specific tokens like BABAB.

BABAB’s rise is part of a wider trend, not an isolated event. Demand for on-chain equity exposure is growing. Binance’s bStocks platform and BNB Chain have been key growth vectors for tokenised equities.

Furthermore, BABAB’s 24h trading volume exploded by over 1250% to $10.3 million, far outpacing its modest price gain—a sign of intense, possibly speculative, interest.

The move was amplified by high-volume trading on its native platform, decoupling it from the broader crypto market’s decline.

The outlook is cautiously bullish, contingent on sustained sector interest. The key technical event was the high-volume push above $130.  The immediate base case is consolidation between $130 and $135.

A decisive break above $135 could target the $140 zone, while a failure to hold $130 support risks a pullback toward the $125–$128 range, especially if the sector-wide volume surge cools.

The price is testing a new local high but remains vulnerable to volatility after such a large volume spike. Traders are now watching whether BABAB can establish $130 as a new support level in the next 24-48 hours.

BABAB’s gain is supported by strong sector trends and a massive influx of trading volume, though it lacks a specific catalyst. NVIDIA Tokenised bStock Falls 2.5% to $219
