Digital Technology: CAC, NASENI Collaborate for Enhanced Service Delivery

The Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) is exploring ways to make use of High-Powered Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other products and services of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to enhance its service delivery.

The Registrar-General of the CAC, Hussaini Magaji, said this when he visited the Executive Vice Chairman(EVC) of NASENI Khalil Halilu, on Tuesday in Abuja.

Magaji said the operational capacity of the CAC Registration Portal has increased since he assumed office in October 2023. He restated the importance for the commission to explore more technology-driven solutions from the right partners to support and sustain its system.

Magaji said:” The Commission’s desire to explore artificial intelligence to register companies within minutes in line with global best practices is only achievable through partnerships.

“And i believe that NASENI, as a developer of a series of technology solutions, including solar, has a role to play in the quest to take CAC to the next level.” Responding, the Naseni EVC said the agency was working on an energy solution that would cover the entire Naseni building and institute upgrade, which was extendable to the CAC.

Halilu however lamented that some private technology companies often exploited government agencies through the sale of double solutions or unwanted products. He then restated that the agency would soon introduce a technology service that would offer alternative solutions at a reasonable cost that would also stand the taste of time.

He said that the agency was also partnering with relevant stakeholders to replicate the technology used in countries like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, amongst others, to improve their AI capacity.

For his part, Mr Bernard Omeiza, Director Technology Business Development, highlighted some of the activities and achievements of the agency since the inception of its present leadership. Nigeria Acquires New Maritime Territory with Natural Deposit Potentials
