    Airtel Africa Repurchases More Shares from London Market

    Airtel Africa has announced that the telecommunication company has purchased 356,282 ordinary shares of USD 0.50 each on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) from Citigroup Global Markets Limited at average price of GBP106.53.

    The company’s share purchase is part of the larger share buyback scheme granted by its shareholders as part of its share buy-back programme, details of which were announced on 1 March 2024. Naira Suffers Big, CBN Goes Ballistic Against FX Whales

    According to Airtel Africa, the telco share purchased from London stock exchange will be cancelled.

    It said since the commencement of the share buy-back programme announced on 1 March 2024, the Company has purchased 10,183,321 ordinary shares in aggregate, at a volume weighted average price of GBp 97.80 per ordinary share.
