Gov. Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State on Friday presented a budget proposal of N270.1 billion for 2024 to the State House of Assembly for approval.

Aliyu said the 2024 budget was in line with his administration’s inherent desire to properly reposition the state and bring about development for the citizens.

“Our administration will continue to seek support and prayers for it to deliver all its campaign promises to our teeming populace.

“This is, because it is only by doing so, we can bring the desired positive change that will engender economic prosperity and stability to our state,” he explained.

Aliyu added that the security challenges being experienced in some local government areas in the State remained a headache.
