    Jaiz Bank New Chief Executive Sirajo Salisu Assumes Duty

    Jaiz Bank Plc.’s new Managing Director and Chief Executive Dr. Sirajo Salisu, today assumed a duty to lead Nigeria’s premier non-interest banking services, according to a statement released on Sunday.

    Sirajo takes over from Hassan Usman, its former banking chief whose tenure ended after retirement on 15th October 2022. Jaiz’s new chief assures stakeholders of building on the achievements of its erstwhile MD to propel the Islamic lender to a greater height.

     “As we look ahead into the next phase of our Bank, we will continually show up as our best selves, and meet the challenges of our world so that we can build a future in which we thrive together”, Jaiz bank’s new MD said.

    Until his appointment, Dr. Sirajo held several Senior and Executive positions in the Bank such as Regional Manager South, Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director, Business Development North where he served diligently in providing key strategic direction to grow the Bank’s business in the Northern region of the country.

    Prior to joining Jaiz Bank Plc, Sirajo served as the Managing Director/CEO of Arab Gambian Islamic Bank (AGIB) in 2016, a position he held for six years. READ:Jaiz Bank Names Sirajo Salisu MD as Hassan Retires

    Dr. Sirajo is a 1991 BSc. Economics graduate from Bayero University Kano. He has a M.Sc. in Monetary Economics from the University of Port Harcourt and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

    Jaiz Bank Chief also obtained another Master’s Degree in Islamic Banking and Finance from Bayero University Kano. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration (FICA) and Honorary Senior Member, the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

    In a statement, the Board and Management of Jaiz Bank wish him success in this role and optimistic this appointment will positively impact the non-interest banking lender. # Sirajo Assumes Duty as Jaiz Bank Chief Executive.

    On Friday, Jaiz bank Plc’s market capitalisation printed at N31.087 billion at 90 kobo per share with 34.541 billion outstanding shares, data from the local bourse shows.
