    NASD Falls by N19.24bn after VFD Group Price Markdown

    NASD Falls by N19.24bn after VFD Group Price Markdown

    NASD’s over-the-counter (OTC) exchange fell by more than N19 billion amidst negative price movements and the exchange markdown of VFD Group’s share price. Consequently, the OTC exchange market capitalisation printed lower at ₦1038.50 trillion from ₦1057.74 trillion.

    The decline pushed the NASD OTC Securities Exchange Index to close negative as return declined. Market data shows that the NSI return decreased by 1.82% to close the week at 793.05 points from 807.75 in the previous week.

    Trading data shows that there was a 96.71% decrease in the total value traded last week, as Investors trade a total of ₦79,754,591.00 in value compared to ₦2,421,468,588.69 in the previous week.

    Total trade activity for the year is now printed at ₦20,400,511,663.51. Meanwhile, the total volume traded last week printed at 29,989,044 units compared to 33,959,149 units in the previous week.

    This led to a 11.69% decrease in trade volume compared to the previous week while the total volume traded for the year settled at 3,144,942,138 units. READ: NASD Investors Gain as VFD Group Completes Rights Issue

    Food Concepts PLC ranking top among the five most traded securities by volume and Central Securities Clearing System PLC was the fifth most traded stock by volume traded in the week.

    Also, Capital Bancorp PLC ranking top among the five most traded securities by value and Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria PLC stood as the fifth most traded Security by value for the week.

    Niger Delta Exploration & Production PLC, which currently holds a market capitalisation of ₦40.81 billion closed the week at ₦225.00 representing a 7.14 per cent increase from the previous close of ₦210.00

    Food Concepts PLC, which currently holds a market capitalisation of ₦5.43 billion closed the week at ₦0.93 representing a 6.90 per cent increase from the previous close of ₦0.87.

    NASD PLC, which currently holds a market capitalisation of ₦6.09 billion closed the week at ₦13.72 representing a 0.88 per cent increase from the previous close of ₦13.60. NASD OTC Securities Exchange market closed on a positive note year to date as the market recorded an increase in performance.

    Year to date, the NASD Security Index returns increased by 6.76%. Total volume traded year-to-date printed at 3,144,942,138 units in 1,150 deals and the total Value traded settled  ₦20,400,511,663.51. #NASD Falls by N19.24bn after VFD Group Price Markdown
