XRP Rises as Investors in Korean Markets Bet on Altcoins

Ripple (XRP) inched up 2.42% in 24 hours to $1.31 on Sunday, outperforming a modestly higher broader market as capital rotated into altcoins.

Sector rotation into altcoins lifted XRP, supported a rising Altcoin Season Index, and heightened interest in Korean markets.

XRP and SHIB jointly led Korea’s cryptocurrency market interest index, indicating concentrated regional buying interest that contributed to the uptick.

The move appears driven more by a broad risk-on rotation within crypto than by a specific XRP catalyst. The total crypto market cap increased 0.99%, with Bitcoin up 0.76%.

XRP’s stronger gain suggests it caught a beta-driven bid. Furthermore, older news of Evernorth’s potential $80 million funding facility for XRP purchases may have provided a supportive, though not immediate, narrative for institutional accumulation.

The rise lacked a clear, fresh catalyst but occurred within a favourable market context.  XRP faces immediate resistance at its 100-day average near $1.33, with a stronger supply zone at $1.37–$1.40. Support is at $1.25.

The Federal Reserve’s October 28 policy decision is the key macro trigger; a dovish signal could support further altcoin gains, while a hawkish surprise may pressure risk assets.

Traders said that if XRP holds $1.25, it could grind toward $1.33; a daily close below that level risks a swift move to $1.20.

The short-term bias is cautiously neutral, hinging on macro developments and key technical holds. The price reaction around $1.33 and the Fed’s policy statement.

XRP’s gain is primarily driven by sector rotation, with no strong standalone catalyst. Its path is now tied to broader market sentiment and upcoming macro cues. XRP Price Surges as Ripple Announces Partnership with Privy
