XRP Price Surges as Ripple Announces Partnership with Privy
XRP price surged to $1.38 on Wednesday over positive ecosystem news, including Ripple’s partnership with Stripe’s Privy for XRPL wallets and Standard Chartered’s custody for RLUSD, reinforcing a constructive narrative.
Privy, the wallet infrastructure partner Stripe acquired in 2025, announced a partnership with Ripple to bring its embedded wallet tools to the XRP Ledger.
The deal will allow developers to create applications that enable payments with $XRP, Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD, and other digital assets on the network, without users needing to directly manage their private keys or recovery phrases
It also extends Privy’s embedded-wallet business into one of the largest payments-focused blockchains. In a statement, Ripple said developers can now create and manage XRP Ledger wallets programmatically through Privy’s infrastructure.
The integration supports XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, and other assets issued on the ledger, and includes private key and seed phrase export, which also helps users move funds elsewhere.
Traders added that XRP’s gain was also aided by a market-wide recovery, with the total crypto market cap rising 0.74%, providing a supportive backdrop.
Traders saw the price move occur alongside a 0.74% rise in the total crypto market cap, with Bitcoin up 0.65%. While XRP slightly outperformed, the primary driver was this market-wide lift.
XRP’s price action remains closely tied to general market sentiment, but its underlying utility narrative for payments and institutional settlement is gaining incremental validation.
The price is stabilising after bouncing from the $1.30–$1.32 support area last week. Technical indicators show a neutral-to-consolidating setup at 52.43, and the price is trading around its 7-day average of $1.37.
On-chain data suggests a multi-week trend of XRP leaving exchange wallets, which may reduce readily available supply for selling. The market structure suggests a pause or accumulation phase rather than a strong directional trend, with on-chain flows providing a mildly supportive backdrop.
A decisive break above the 200-day average near $1.41 or a breakdown below the $1.30 support level would signal the next directional move.
The near-term trajectory hinges on two concrete factors: the immediate technical battle at the $1.38–$1.40 resistance band and today’s U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation report.
A hotter-than-expected inflation print could pressure risk assets like crypto, while a softer reading could support a broader rally.
The path of least resistance remains unclear until XRP decisively breaks its current range. The macro catalyst (CPI) will likely dictate short-term momentum for the entire sector. NVDAB Rises as Investors Begin to Borrow USDC with Nvidia Shares
