XRP Ticks as Successful Payments Processed on Ledger Spikes
Ripple (XRP) price rises slightly on news that daily successful payments on the XRP Ledger have hit multi-month highs, indicating strong usage despite prior declines in activity.
Trading data show the token at $1.01 amidst a sharp decline in transaction volume and value over the last 24 hours. With a 70-year-to-date loss, XRP ranks behind Binance Coin with $63.2 billion in market capitalisation.
Still, investors keep hope alive as most analysts maintain that XRP is trading against its own catalyst. Recent data shows daily successful payments on the XRP Ledger climbed to 2.6 million, the highest level in roughly four months, after a period of declining activity and lower prices.
Other snapshots report single days with around 935,000 payments, well above the prior daily range of 400,000 to 600,000, and a surge in active addresses of over 84 per cent in August.
This paints a picture of renewed use of the XRP Ledger for payments and other operations, even as the market price has trended downward over the past year.
Market analysts said the network is far from abandoned; more users and payments are flowing through XRPL even during a price slump.
According to CoinMarketCap data, XRP trades near $1.01, with a 30-day return of about -8.21 per cent and a one-year change of around -69.74 per cent, and it recently dipped below $ 1 for the first time since late 2024.
Reports show that on days with “surging activity,” only about 20 to 25 per cent of transactions are payments, while roughly two-thirds are OfferCreate orders on the built-in decentralised exchange, meaning much of the volume is trading and liquidity management rather than new capital inflows into XRP.
Macro risk-off moves, softer institutional flows into XRP-linked products, and structural concerns such as large token holdings controlled by Ripple are also cited as reasons why elevated ledger activity has not translated into a price recovery.
XRP Ledger is processing more payments and showing higher user engagement even as XRP’s price remains under prolonged pressure, creating a clear disconnect between usage and market valuation. XRP Climbs as National Bank of Canada Discloses Holding
