    XRP Price Swings Low as Ripple Announces Investment in Zilo, Licuido

    Ripple (XRP) price is down 1.45% to $1.06, driven by broader crypto market weakness due to rising fear sentiment.  At the swing low level, XRP has become cheaper for dip buyers to enter a position in anticipation of the next rally.

    The move appears as a beta-driven drift lower, compounded by a recent technical breakdown that has left the token below key resistance levels. XRP’s decline closely tracked a broader market dip, with the total crypto market cap falling 0.77% and the Fear & Greed Index at 33, indicating fear as of 3 August 2026.

    Bitcoin dropped 1.05% in the same period, indicating a risk-off tone across major assets. No single macro driver was highlighted in the provided data, suggesting generalised selling pressure.

    XRP is moving with the market tide rather than on its own catalyst, reflecting low conviction among traders. A shift in broader market sentiment, often signalled by Bitcoin reclaiming key levels like $64,000.

    Technical analysis shows XRP recently broke below a symmetrical triangle pattern that formed in July, signalling sellers maintain control. The price now faces a dense resistance zone from its 50-day average at $1.09, 100-day average at $1.10, and 200-day average at $1.20.

    Trading volume has remained subdued, confirming a lack of buying momentum. The chart structure is bearish, and any recovery attempt will face immediate selling pressure near $1.09–$1.10.

    The immediate path hinges on the critical support zone of $1.01–$1.04. If XRP holds above $1.01, it could consolidate between that level and resistance at $1.09.

    A decisive break below $1.01, however, could accelerate selling toward the next major support near $0.89. Key upcoming catalysts include the U.S. Senate vote on the CLARITY Act and the XRPL v3.3.0 upgrade.

    The balance is fragile, with a slight edge to the bears given the recent breakdown. Price action around $1.01 and news flow regarding the CLARITY Act vote.

    XRP’s drop is a combination of market-wide risk aversion and confirmed bearish technical structure, with no immediate positive catalyst to reverse the trend.

    Ripple has completed strategic investments in ZILO, a transfer agent technology company, and Licuido, a tokenisation platform, introducing regulated transfer agent, issuance, and collateral liquidity capabilities to its $XRP Ledger (XRPL) infrastructure, building on prior collaboration between the parties.

    ZILO provides transfer agent technology for asset management institutions, while Licuido is a regulated tokenisation and digital asset liquidity platform under the supervision of the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

    Nigel Khakoo, Senior Vice President of Trading & Markets at Ripple, stated that tokenisation is merely the starting point, with true value lying in the ability to use tokens for instant settlement or as collateral for lending;

    …Ripple’s existing collaborations with Aviva Investors, Franklin Templeton, and DBS have already demonstrated a trend toward large-scale deployment of tokenised funds by asset management institutions.

    The transfer agent infrastructure and liquidity capabilities provided by ZILO and Licuido will further accelerate this trend. Ripple Invests in Zilo, Licuido to Expand XRP
