Cardano Price Surges 5% after ‘Best Days Ahead’ Founder’s Talks

Cardano (ADA) price increased by 4.98% to $0.164, significantly outperforming a broader market which rose 1.38%, primarily driven by a strong signal of persistent institutional demand.

Founder Charles Hoskinson said Cardano’s “best days are ahead” during a recent X AMA, even as ADA trades near $0.16 — roughly 95% below its September 2021 all-time high of $3.09 and down 53% so far this year.

The altcoin has been struggling to maintain intermittent momentum amidst fluctuating investors sentiment, and overall geopolitical sentiment affects the broader crypto market.

Traders said price reacted positively to sustained institutional inflows, with ADA investment products recording net inflows for 16 consecutive months, signalling long-term accumulation by professional capital.

The rally is anchored by data showing ADA investment products have posted 16 consecutive months of net inflows. Unlike retail-driven spikes, this pattern indicates steady, conviction-based buying from asset managers, providing a fundamental floor for price.

Professional capital continues to bet on Cardano’s long-term thesis despite its extended downtrend, offering a counter-narrative to weak retail sentiment.

The move was supported by Cardano’s partnership with Reeve for transparent on-chain accounting, adding to its utility narrative. Technically, ADA is testing a descending trendline that has capped recoveries since early 2026, with buyers defending the $0.15–$0.16 support zone.

Positive fundamentals are converging with a critical technical test, which could signal a shift in market structure if the breakout holds.

The immediate catalyst is the Federal Reserve’s rate decision later today, July 29. A hawkish outcome could pressure all risk assets, while a dovish hold might fuel further altcoin gains.

ADA’s near-term path is tied to macro winds and its ability to convert technical resistance into support. A daily close above the micro-resistance zone are set between $0.164–$0.175

Cardano’s rise is fuelled by a rare institutional accumulation signal, providing a stronger foundation than typical hype-driven rallies.

Hoskinson said Bitcoin’s next growth phase could come through Cardano, letting Bitcoin holders access decentralized finance without compromising Bitcoin’s security or core principles.

He argued Cardano can support Bitcoin via a non-custodial, trustless mechanism while maintaining tax neutrality, a claim he contrasted with account-based blockchains.

“You can mirror Bitcoin on Cardano in a non-custodial, trustless way, in a tax-neutral way,” Hoskinson said, and pointed to Midnight, Cardano’s privacy-focused sidechain, as enabling private Bitcoin lending and other private DeFi applications.
