XRP price declined by about 3% on profit-taking to $1.10 amidst Ripple’s launch of Ripple Mint for institutional RLUSD stablecoin management.  The token pulled back while approaching $1.16 due to shifting investor sentiment in the broader cryptocurrency market.

With a $1.10 transaction value, trading volume remained depressed in the absence of institutional bets via exchange-traded funds (ETFs) linked to XRP.

Consolidating its cross-border payment push, Ripple launched Ripple Mint, a unified platform giving institutions a single interface for minting, redeeming, and managing RLUSD.

Analysts said Ripple Mint is a move toward programmable financial infrastructure where stablecoin flows can be automated, monitored, and integrated directly into existing institutional systems.

Available to existing customers today, the platform combines a web console with new APIs, letting exchanges, market makers, and fintechs connect stablecoin flows directly into their own systems.

Previously, corporate entities had to conduct their RLUSD-related transactions manually on fragmented platforms. This increased difficulty in organising and coordinating their crypto activities.

Ripple Mint solves all this by presenting itself as a unified central management hub from which users can access, mint, and redeem RLUSD into fiat currency.

Ripple now adds webhook notifications and full lifecycle tracking, giving institutions programmatic visibility over every step of the minting and redemption process.

According to Ripple’s product page, the platform is described as “a unified platform for institutions to mint, redeem, and manage RLUSD liquidity.”

Approved institutional clients access RLUSD through the dedicated interface, with minting converting dollars into tokens and redemption converting tokens back into dollars, redeemable 1:1 for US dollars.

Ripple launched the stablecoin under a New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) trust charter, with monthly third-party reserve attestations, giving institutions a regulated, dollar-denominated asset with built-in compliance and counterparty clarity.

This arrives as RLUSD pushes further into the multichain ecosystem. Testing is underway on several Ethereum Layer-2 networks, including Optimism, Base, Ink, and Unichain, in partnership with Wormhole and its Native Token Transfer (NTT) standard.

The NTT approach allows RLUSD to move natively across chains without wrapping or synthetic assets, preserving liquidity and regulatory integrity while opening DeFi use cases across networks built for speed and lower costs. #XRP Dips, Ripple Launches Ripple Mint for RLUSD Stablecoin#
